To help keep employees, customers and commuters safe while protecting public services, we’ve invested in fog machines, steam cleaners and ATP Sanitation Monitoring Systems.
Like many businesses across the globe today, the coronavirus pandemic is posing a huge challenge to our operations and we had to furlough many of our members of staff earlier in the year. However, we’ve been determined to make it through from the beginning and have been helping new and existing clients to keep their spaces clean and COVID-secure.
Back in May 2020 we decided to invest £10,000 in specialist technology to help ensure the businesses that were able to open following the lockdown could do so safely. Our new fogging machines, steam vacuum cleaners and ATP monitoring systems are enabling us to provide a specialist Covid-19 disinfectant cleaning service across the city.
Our owner and MD Emilia with team member Krystian Kienast.
1. Specialised fogging machines
Our new foggers are designed to disinfect and decontaminate regular touchpoints in workplaces, such as door handles, rubbish bins, handrails, kitchen surfaces, fixtures and appliances and toilet flushes. The ‘fog’ accesses often hard to reach places and helps keep surfaces cleaner for longer.
2. Steam vacuum cleaners
Steam vacuum cleaners disinfect and decontaminate hard floor surfaces, eliminating the need for chemicals which is better for the environment as well as being more effective generally. The heat from the steam is enough to eradicate germs and allergens; the vacuum cleaner sucks up dirt and particles, leaving floors completely clean and hygienic.
3. ATP Sanitation Monitoring Systems
Our teams use ATP sanitation monitoring systems to swab test surfaces for Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) – the energy molecule found in all living (and once living, for that matter) cells. In doing so, we can rapidly assess how clean a surface is and take action to help prevent the spread of Covid-19 and other infections.
What does our Managing Director say?
Our Managing Director Emilia Ferenc is originally from Poland and moved to Edinburgh over 14 years ago. She worked as a general manager at a facilities company for a number of years before establishing Perfect Clean in 2013. She currently employs 50 people from her HQ in the city of Edinburgh.
Speaking in May, Emila said:
“We understand that Edinburgh’s public buildings, facilities and workplaces need enhanced and specialist cleaning measures to support their operations – and in some cases, their reopening – in the coming weeks and months.
“We are here, primed to play our part. As an established Edinburgh cleaning specialist, we want to help protect the people of Edinburgh and help them get back to work safely whenever that may be.
“To support our local public services across Edinburgh and the Lothians we are now providing specialist Covid-19 disinfectant cleaning services, using a range of specialist cleaning equipment to keep employees and the public safe.”
