Cleaning of university accommodation in Edinburgh with short turnaround times to allow new tenants to move in. Working on a live public site in line with health and safety policies and procedures.
All cleans are completed on short turnarounds of an average of 8 hours with more than 100 completed rooms.
We liaise closely with University staff to plan and implement the service around the needs of people on site and to work around the other activities. In 2019, we completed the works 2 days ahead of schedule, achieving extra cost-saving and time saving benefits. We accelerated our timetable by assigning additional staff, optimising our rota and by establishing clear processes for each type of accommodation. This tailored approach maximised efficiency and resulted in us completing the clean ahead of schedule, minimising the time we were on site.
